We're Halfway There!

We went in for our mid point ultrasound a couple of weeks ago and got some new pictures of our sweet little baby (sorry I'm a little late posting these pics...currently, we are at 21 weeks)! This is the ultrasound where you can find out the sex of the baby, but we had said from the beginning of this pregnancy that we wanted to wait and be surprised. It was so incredibly hard to know that we could find out if we wanted to. All we had to do was ask and the doctor would tell us...in fact, she knew right away because as soon as she started the ultrasound the baby was positioned to show off his/her little secret. But, we stayed strong and looked away. Well, actually I looked away and Blaine kept trying to peek...but luckily the doctor worked quickly and Blaine didn't get a good look at anything. I thought for sure that if anyone was going to crack, it would definitely be me...but Blaine was ready to find out right then and there.

We made it through the appointment without finding out (yea!!!) and got a few new pics to show off. I told the doctor to not give us any pictures with anything below the waist because I knew we would go home and examine them for months looking for a little clue as to what it is. As a result we don't have as many pictures as we did with Presley's midpoint ultrasound, but we did get a few cute face shots. Enjoy!

This is a picture of the heart on the left, and the heart rate on the right...161 beats per minute! Strong and healthy!!! This picture also has all the baby's measurements on it. It's definitely a bigger baby than Presley was at this time.

Front view of his/her little face with little arms up by the head.

Notice we had to turn this picture upside down. From the time she took the last picture to this one, the baby had already flipped around. It's a wiggly little thing!!! I love this profile shot and he/she still has a little hand up by the face.

I can't wait to meet this little baby!!! 4 more months to go!

Lemonade and Sunshine

Presley's second birthday party was a huge success! Everything turned out perfectly and Presley had the best time. Enjoy the pictures below of Presley Lemonade and Sunshine birthday party!

Presley's lemonade stand built by Daddy!

Lemon treats for our guests to take home.

You can't have a lemonade party without lemonade!

Yummy treats (and a few healthy ones too) for our guests to enjoy.

Lemon and cream cheese cupcakes made by Mommy and Daddy...all 54 of them!

Mommy and the birthday girl!

We hired a singer/face painter to entertain the kids at the party. She was amazing and Presley absolutely loved dancing along while she sang. This is the view from our stairs...it was a packed house (and this only shows about half the guests!)

Listening to a few songs with my sweet little princess.

So pretty! A quick little break while jumping in the bouncy house.

More singing and bubbles outside!

Cupcake time!

The heat of the day finally took it's toll, so Presley is having a little ice treat with Daddy and Ya-Ya.

This was such a great day. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make it so special.
