Little Man's First Haircut!

Well, it finally happened.  After 21 months of trying to grow hair, Becks finally had enough to get a haircut.  It wasn't really that long, but there was just enough that it was looking pretty scraggly and coming over the top of his ears.  Not to mention that no two hairs were the same length.
I've always said that my son (as long as I have a say) will never have long hair. I like it high and tight...so off we went to get our first trim!

He did a great job!  I thought for sure he would scream and do anything to get out of the chair, but he just sat there with his lollipop and let the stylist do her thing!

His haircut turned out really cute.  Looks like we will have to start making this a regular thing.

Apples, Apples, and more Apples!

A  couple of weeks ago, Presley's class did a unit all on apples. They got to taste green, red, and yellow apples and graph the results of which one they liked the best (Presley said she like the red the best). The next day, they made homemade applesauce in class.  Presley was so excited about it that I thought it would be fun to do our own apple tasting at home.  While Pres was at school, Becks and I went to the store and got as many apple products as we could find to taste!

I've started doing the "Letter of the week" with Beckett.  We were on C this particular week, but I figured, to go along with our theme, we would go back and review A.
 A is for Apples!!!

I put all of our tastings on a plate for both kids to try.

 Apple Jelly

 Apple yogurt

 Dried apple

 ...not a fan!

 Fresh apple slice

 Apple sauce

 Apple juice

After our tasting, we had breakfast for dinner and made...you guessed it, apple pancakes!

Pres and Becks both LOVE when we have breakfast for dinner.  It's the only time they will eat everything on their plates.

After dinner, we had a piece of apple pie for dessert!

After 2 bites of pie, Beckett decided he just wanted to eat apple sauce instead.

Here are the results of Presley's apple tasting in order from most to least liked:

Apple Jelly
Apple Juice
Apple Pancakes
Fresh Apple
Apple Yogurt
Apple Pie
Apple Sauce
Dried Apples
