Picture Perfect

A couple of weekends ago, we went to a birthday party for one of Presley's playgroup friends, Hunter. While we were having fun at the party, one of our playgroup moms/photographer snapped a few pics of Presley and sent them to us. When I saw the picture above, my jaw just about dropped to the floor. I know every mom thinks their child is cute, but this picture of Presley is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen!

The most amazing part about these pictures are that none of them were posed. The party was at "The Little Gym" so we were doing tons of fun things with the kids, in a gym setting. Each of the pictures she took were just in passing as were walking around enjoying all the activities of the party.

The Very Last Bottle

At our last well check, Dr. Chang suggested that we might want to stop giving Presley a bottle at night before bed. He wanted to see her without a bottle by 18 months, but for sure by 2 years.
So, we slowly started to give her less and less until we felt like she was ready to stop having it completely.

It was so hard to decide which night would be her last without a bottle. It's just another thing that make her not a little baby anymore. It's bittersweet, but until I find that time machine that will let me keep her a little baby forever, I have to go along with it.

We thought that since Daddy gave Presley her very first bottle ever, it was only fitting that he be the one to give her the last one (snif, snif....is anyone else crying yet???)

This is one of my most favorite pictures ever! I can't believe that was 18 months ago.
She's such a precious little angel.

Okay, here it is...the last bottle!
(On a side note, check out the cute leopard print socks...love it!!!)

Snow Day!

It snowed in Austin!
Since we never know when we'll get another chance to see snow, we took full advantage of this day. We woke up early, ate breakfast, then bundled up and headed outside to play in the snow.

Presley loved the snow! And how stinkin' cute is she in her little pink coat, hat, and gloves???

Walking across the snowy street.

Some of the spots were icy, so I tried to stay close behind Presley in case she slipped. But of course, little Miss Independent didn't need any help!

Daddy Surprises Us At The Park!

I took the cutest little girl to the park the other day. The weather had been beautiful this particular week and Blaine was out of town on business, so we were looking for some outdoor fun. So I dressed Pres up in her favorite new t-shirt (she's in LOVE with Elmo) and to the park we went!

Her favorite part of the park is the slide. She loves to walk up the stairs and slide down all by herself like a big girl. She even walks up the stairs, holding on to the rail, not climbing on her hands and knees like she used to.
She has also learned how to jump, and looks for anything to jump from. She would stay on the slide all day if I let her.

After convincing her that there were other redeeming parts of the playground, I finally got her over to the swing set. For about 2 minutes, she loved it as much as the slide.

So pretty!

While we were at the park, we got a call from Blaine saying that he was on his way home from the airport. He had been gone for a couple of days on business and for the first time ever, Presley had noticed. She woke up every morning asking for "Dadda" and kissed the phone whenever he called. I knew she would be so excited to see him, so I told Blaine to meet us at the park to surprise Presley.

When I saw Blaine's car pull up, I convinced Presley to walk over to the parking lot side of the playground, without letting her see him. When he got close, she finally saw him walking towards her. I'll never forget the look on her face. The next couple of pictures are priceless, so I'll let you narrate them yourself because I haven't quite found the words to say just how perfect they are.

These might just be the most perfect pictures I think I have ever seen.
Welcome home, Dadda...we missed you!!!

Library and Momma's Birthday!

This year, I had such a great birthday! Some of the kids from our playgroup were all meeting at the library for story time. Presley LOVES story time at the library so I was so excited to take her. She let me dress her up in a super cute outfit and even let me put a bow in her hair. This day was already starting out great!

My sweet little girl showing off her cute clothes and even cuter smile.

At the library, waiting for story time to begin.

So sweet!

One of the librarians, Ms. Virgina, reading a story...and Ms. Presley acting as her little assistant and showing everyone what they should be doing.

Play time!

Quietly playing by herself...such a good girl.

For my birthday, Mimi took us out to dinner and brought over cupcakes and ice cream. Presley had a strawberry cupcake with vanilla ice cream.

Yummy ice cream on a spoon!

Happy birthday to Momma!
